PLUTO FINANCE

Pluto finance is a specialist residential development lender focusing on stretch senior, senior and bridging loans. The firm has been actively lending since 2011 and had become somewhat known as a provider of quick, expensive debt. The team is now currently funding the construction of over 2,000 new homes providing a bespoke service with fast turnaround and excellent quality of customer service to over 50% repeat borrowers.

Our communications strategy, developed with the client team, was to reinform the market of Pluto Finance’s bespoke services to attract a wider customer base, including more of the household-name housebuilders, while maintaining its loyal client base, through traditional media, digital platforms and direct to the target audience of housebuilders and intermediaries. We have done a heck of a lot since the start of our collaboration and (even if we do say so ourselves) their business is flying!


VERDION

Michael Hughes, the founder of Verdion, set up the company originally as Helios Europe, a company that was spawned from his previous partnership Helios Properties. Michael had been working for many years in the UK on long-term development projects, but when the 2007/8 recession hit, he saw his chance to develop a ‘big box’ logistics portfolio in Europe.

In the background, Michael has been working on a site in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. An extremely complex site to put together, the timing was right in 2012 to push the button on the ambitious development - an ‘inland port’ - which would become known as iPort. The public and private partnerships had aligned to secure the funding to build a new link road which would serve iPort, a new homes development by Harworth Estate and the Doncaster Sheffield International Airport. iPort was born.

This was Helios Europe’s first and by far the largest scheme in the UK at 6 million sq ft of development. Now was the time to move away from the Helios name and build a brand reflective of the strong, green and growing company. Flashbulb took Verdion through its rebrand process from Helios Europe as well as providing the communications support as mentioned above culminating in Verdion securing exclusive funding and backing from the largest Canadian Pension Fund and winning a ‘highly commended’ award for Property Week’s Property Company of the Year against a number of national, household name firms much larger in size, positioning Verdion as punching well above its weight in the industry.

Logicor is one of the largest industrial landlords in the UK with a strategic portfolio of property in the major distribution hubs and beyond, encompassing a larger multi-let portfolio as well as some of the largest ‘Big Boxes’ within the UK.

Logicor’s work is very much client driven, focusing on finding bespoke, ‘Logical Solutions’ for its existing customers base and potential new tenants. The UK team utilises its expansive property portfolio to support its customers with their expansion needs, carrying out comprehensive refurbishment of older stock for sustainability rather than knocking down and building new.

Flashbulb is working with Logicor on a few campaigns within its UK team, telling its story through traditional media, digital, social media and print and online advertising, award entries and speaker opportunities covering its message of a proactive and approachable team and client solutions.
